Culture and values

Legal Reach has a clear purpose which is supported by a number of core values, all of which are underpinned by its ethos and culture.

Our purpose

“To help grow and build stronger businesses”

Our Core Values

Our purpose is driven and supported by core values that are central to how we operate and are at the heart of our business:

These are:

Our desire is to build long term partnerships, to be seen as an integral part of your business and to ‘have fun’; Enjoying working together to help your business grow and be successful.

Why use Legal Reach

A large number of law firms now have their own marketing departments with some of the larger firms often having significant sized teams with multi-million pound investment.  With the growth of in-house expertise available, often supported by external agencies, many may wonder why they should consider hiring an outside marketing consultant. However, whether you are within the top 50, top 100 or one of the thousands of firms with a small number of partners and lawyers it is not uncommon for law firms to get into a revolving marketing cycle, without taking ‘time out’ to review and assess just what is and is not working.

Using Legal Reach will help you to take a cold hard look at what you (and your marketing team) are currently doing, identifying what is working and what isn’t and more importantly, what other opportunities exist that are currently not being considered. Legal Reach will also allow you to take some time to focus on your wider business strategy and ensure that it is still current and aligned to your aims and objectives.

You will also gain the benefit of our expertise and knowledge and be able to access marketing and business tools and proven models that you may currently not have access to.

In addition, as we are constantly talking and reviewing ‘best practice’ and have been at the van guard of marketing change within the legal sector for over 20 years, we are able to introduce you to new ideas, innovations, breaking trends and software that will help to energise your business, marketing and sales capabilities, improve your client experiences and ultimately drive growth and profitability.

Finally, we often find that many law firms over extended themselves trying to market to every potential type of client or market all at once and through multiple channels … our expertise will enable us to sit back and review, looking closely at what your core strengths are, understanding your client base and potential audience and let you know which platforms or channels make sense and which don’t. All of which will save you time and money while generating greater returns on your investment.

Approach

Finding the right marketing consultant partner doesn’t just mean finding a practice with an understanding of your markets. Clearly this is vital, but so too is ‘the fit’ between the two businesses, the approach and a common sharing of business values and ethos. Afterall, your consulting business will be working at the heart of your business and in many cases, as part of it, and it is therefore crucial that the ‘fit’ is perfect.

With over 25 years legal sector experience, and 20+ at senior executive, board, and C-level, we fully understand the complexity of working in what are often multi-matrix organisations with many different (and competing) stakeholders. Leveraging this experience, we have an established 5 step approach which we have found to be very helpful in enabling us to get to the heart of the issue, and deliver results very quickly:

Gain insight

  1. Understand your business and requirements
  2. Consider your client needs and desires – what are their expectations
  3. Overlay with competitor, market knowledge and intelligence

Establish targets

  1. Clarify your needs, goals and aims
  2. Create clear and measurable objectives
  3. Define timelines and deliverables

Identity solutions

  1. Design evidence-based solutions that are unique and tailored
  2. Consider and develop plans to manage all internal stakeholders
  3. Build governance and delivery processes and management

Deliver programmes

  1. Launch across the business, building buy-in and understanding
  2. Management of programmes and stakeholders
  3. Measure and constantly review against objectives to ensure value is delivered

Look to the future

  1. Work with internal teams, training and educating them on best practice and approaches
  2. Build efficient internal systems and processes to support the programmes long term
  3. Develop a true partnership

Your Protection

Confidentiality

We pride ourselves on our confidentiality. We will never disclose that we are working with you (unless you give permission) and will never share data, information, or any part of our brief/role with your business with anyone outside Legal Reach.  If there is a need to discuss any aspect of our partnership with a third-party business, then we will always get your permission first.

Non-disclosure agreements (‘NAD’)

We usually find it helpful to have an initial introductory discussion and then, if there is a desire to engage further, to enter into an NDA so that both parties can share confidential information that will enable a more open and informative discussion to take place. This in-depth discussion and analysis, under the protection of an NDA, will enable both parties to explore how we could work together and how Legal Reach can help you grow and develop your business.

Contracts and agreements

While we are happy (and indeed do) work with businesses without a contract in place, we would prefer to spend a little time at the beginning of a new relationship, once we have reached an agreement to work together, to define the needs and requirements and set them out in a contract.

Although driven by our partners requirements, we would also prefer to develop a statement of work (or a ‘SOW’) for each specific programme we are asked to undertake. This will ensure that both parties have total clarity on the specific programmes aims and objectives, and can agree on target outcomes before a specific piece of work is undertaken.

Of course, depending on the agreement between us, and the role that we will take, developing a SOW for each programme may not be suitable. In addition, we also recognise that every business is unique and will have different views. With this in mind, we are more than happy to sit down and discuss what approach works best for you and your business during any initial discussion.

Professional Indemnity

As a partner to your business, we are very conscious of the need to protect your business. As such, we maintain professional indemnity insurance cover of £1,000,000. Details of our cover can be made available if required.
